Job Description

Hilton Grand Vacations is looking for a Privacy and Compliance Attorney to make a direct impact on the global organization through the creation of new programs and resources! As Vice President, you would design, implement, and carry out a program to promote a mentality that encourages a strong commitment to compliance with applicable laws and ethical conduct, including FCPA (Foreign Corrupt Practices Act).Provide leadership and guidance surrounding a broad range of legal matters involving privacy, record retention & data security (including cyber security), and sales processes. In this role, you would be an individual contributor reporting to the Assistant General Counsel to support efforts within the organization as we continue to grow and succeed in alignment with our mission and values.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Develop and maintain policies, and training material related to data handling, collateral, materials, sales processes, and privacy.
  • Report on a regular basis to keep the Board and senior leadership informed of the operation and progress of compliance and privacy programs.
  • Maintain an effective communication plan to promote the awareness and understanding of new and existing issues while also educating the business on new and pending changes to laws, regulations, and standards that impact business operations.
  • Support and provide expertise to corporate wide projects.
  • Partner with Information Technology to support the privacy and record retention process.
  • Collaborate with a team to conduct periodic or special investigations on matters involving compliance and/or privacy, including internal investigations.
  • Maintain global privacy requirements and related procedures, including notice and consent requirements, data transfer requirements, vendor management and similar, etc.
  • Establish and coordinate a process for receiving, detailing, tracking, investigating, and taking action on all complaints and inquiries concerning the organization’s privacy policies and procedures in coordination with other similar functions.
  • Assist in the implementation of organizations cybersecurity, incident response plan.
  • Partner with the company’s Director of Risk Management and Director of Information Risk Management as appropriate.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree
  • Juris Doctorate
  • 7+ years of related experience in Privacy or Compliance law
  • 7+ years working experience with Foreign Corrupt Practices Act and California Privacy
  • Previous leadership experience with strong experience implementing company wide programs
