Job Title: VP - International Private Bank Americas Senior Compliance Officer

Location: Jacksonville, FL

Type: Fulltime

Overview:You will work in Compliance Department to provide oversight of bank’s International Private Bank Americas Business. Responsibilities will involve all aspects of Compliance support, including advising and providing guidance to multiple lines of business of a sophisticated full-service broker/dealer and banking business. You should understand Trust and Custody regulations, including the relevant current and proposed industry and regulatory developments. The role will also involve assisting with Compliance projects and ad-hoc requests to further strengthen the Bank’s compliance programs.

Your Key Responsibilities:
  • Serving as the Compliance Conflicts representative in the International Private Bank (IPB) Conflicts of Interest program
  • Advising and consulting IPB’s Trust and Custody businesses on relevant laws, regulations, firm policies and procedures. Researching the applicability of relevant state and federal laws
  • Coordinating the implementation of regulatory reform initiatives with business risk
  • Supporting regulatory exam requests and inquiries. Conducting compliance risk assessments and compliance targeted reviews
  • Monitoring business activities for compliance with key regulations. Assisting with the content, implementation and delivery of compliance training
  • Assisting with the completion of monthly reporting as well as providing support to the local office as needed on projects and initiatives

Your Key Responsibilities:

Your Skills and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Finance, Business or Accounting; JD preferred
  • Experience, preferably in Private Banking/ Wealth Management with some relevant expertise covering trust and custody, law experience will be considered
  • Experience working in Compliance or a similar financial services risk management function a strong plus
  • An understanding of the legal and compliance issues of complex banking organizations
  • Excellent Excel and PowerPoint skills

How You’ll Lead:
  • Managing the independent oversight of the IPB Customer Complaints process
  • Provide leadership for the Compliance Team in Jacksonville and serve as the main point of coverage for the Miami and Jacksonville offices
  • Providing additional compliance support, as needed, for Coverage businesses, including relationship and investment management
