job detailsAbout the Role:We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to join our team in a high-volume distribution center. This is a hands-on leadership role, ideal for someone with a background in warehouse operations and team management. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing a team of 30-40 associates, ensuring efficient and effective operations while meeting performance metrics.Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and lead a team of 30-40 warehouse associates, providing guidance and support to ensure high levels of performance and morale.
Manage day-to-day warehouse operations, including receiving, picking, packing, and shipping.
Monitor workflow and productivity to meet or exceed established metrics and standards.
Motivate, coach, and develop team members to enhance skills, improve performance, and foster a positive work environment.
Implement and maintain safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for all staff.
Collaborate with other departments to optimize warehouse processes and improve overall efficiency.
Handle inventory control and ensure accurate stock levels.
Conduct regular performance reviews and provide feedback to team members.
Requirements:
Proven experience in a supervisory or leadership role within a high-volume warehouse or distribution center.
Knowledge of warehouse operations, including inventory management and shipping/receiving processes.
Ability to work a Sunday-Thursday schedule, from 5 PM until finish.
Excellent leadership and communication skills.
Ability to motivate and develop a team in a fast-paced environment.
Problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and other relevant technology.
