The primary responsibility of the UX Designer is to design delightful user experiences by collaborating with cross-functional teams to create user interfaces that solve customer pain points. The ideal person for this role loves to collaborate with others to craft the perfect product and leverage interaction, UI and visual design to do their best work. They can successfully turn broad ideas and needs into simple, functional, beautiful products and features that delight customer and align with overall business strategies.

As a UX Designer, you should:

• Own the design system

• Establish and promote design guidelines, best practices and standards.

• Define UX & UI standards and ensure adoption and understanding of across all product teams.

• Research and showcase knowledge in the industry's latest trends and technologies and update the system as needed.

• Develop comprehensive annotated design specifications and functional documentation for engineering team.

• Work with engineering team to develop UI pattern toolkits to promote consistency and efficiency in application of UX & UI standards.

• Quickly learn new domains.

• Own and guide product design direction and vision

• Serve as an advocate for design in strategic product decisions.

• Create wireframes, storyboards, user/process flows, journey maps, site maps and other tools to guide the product development process.

• Develop simple interactive prototypes for demonstrating design ideas.

• Assist in building an understanding of the design guidelines for key team members who will execute designs across the various product areas.

• Create high-fidelity mockups and work with engineers and product to oversee UI design implementation.

• Know your customer and understand the industry

• Conduct usability testing of web apps (SaaS), websites, tools and apps.

• Develop personas to communicate understanding and create empathy across all product teams.

• Coordinate customer interactions that create opportunities for feedback on design direction and future functionality.

• Understand the technology and business needs, wants and pain points for the target customer group.

• Build relationship with your teams

• Motivate, support and appreciate all team members.

• Embody and reinforce an agile mindset on your team by holding yourself and others accountable to maintaining agile methodologies.

• Exhibit leadership skills as a part of the Product Design Team.

• Organize and lead design meetings and presentations.

• Collaborate with product and engineers to conceptualize, document, design and develop new product concepts.

• Work collaboratively and cohesively with all team members.

• Build a culture of confidence in the design system and of accountability to others in application of the system.

Requirements

• Proficiency with Agile methodologies and working with cross-functional teams

• Proficient with sprint management tools such as DevOps or Jira

• Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, and work in a fast-paced environment

• Must be detail-oriented, highly organized and results driven

• Strong portfolio of applying user-centered design practices to website design (web software, SaaS, mobile app design)

• Experience designing responsive and mobile-friendly web experiences

• Experience with interaction design analysis and prototyping tools, e.g., Illustrator, Photoshop, Visio, Balsamiq, Axure, Figma, InVision

• Experience creating audience personas, information architecture, wireframes, user flows

• Ability to iterate your designs and solutions efficiently and intelligently.

• Be open to receiving feedback and constructive criticism.

• Work experience with large, reference- and transaction-oriented websites and responsive design methodologies / systems
