Job DescriptionThe Wholesale Credit Risk (WCR) Policy & Governance team directly supports the Major Global Bank's head of Wholesale Credit Risk. The team has the responsibility for establishing governance for WCR Policy, Standards, and Procedures globally to ensure efficient management of multi-disciplinary processes and regulatory requirements.As a key member within the WCR Policy & Governance team, the Policy Governance Manager will drive the strategic vision and oversight over the lifecycle of the WCR Framework, Policy, Standards, and Procedures. The lifecycle will include the development, enhancement, implementation, issuance, periodic review, compliance, and reporting for all WCR documents and processes. This Manager will also collaborate across Businesses, In-Business Credit Risk (IBCR), Risk Management, various Policy teams, Internal Audit, and senior management across the Firm. This individual will support the implementation and maintenance of the WCR Framework, and Policy along with leading its transformation efforts.

Key Responsibilities:• Policy Advisory and Strategy- provide guidance to 1st and 2nd Lines of Defense regarding Policy requirements, interpretations, and compliance.• Policy Development- provide strategic input into the development and enhancement of all WCR Policy, Standards, and Procedures, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and simplification. Proactively identify continuous improvement opportunities in the compliance and reviews of Policy and all related documents.• Policy Implementation and Enforcement- engage with Businesses and Global Functions to track and influence the implementation of WCR Policy requirements. Provide senior management with timely reporting on progress of adherence to Policy.• Publication and Maintenance of Policies- ensure that Businesses and Global Functions have a complete, accurate and current inventory of their respective Policy documents. Oversee the development and enhancement of newly designed WCR Policy Platform.• Regulatory Engagement- lead and participate in all regulatory engagement on WCR Policy and related documents.• Training- coordinate with key stakeholders to establish and roll-out WCR Policy training

Qualifications:• 8+ years of experience in governance, and controls, preferably with a focus on Policy development and management• Wholesale Credit Risk or related Risk Management experience and knowledge a plus (not required)• Excellent written, and verbal skills• Strong leadership skills with a proven track record in motivating teams and driving positive and sustained change• Highly motivated, strong attention to detail, team oriented, organized, flexible• Strong presentation skills with the ability to articulate complex problems and solutions through concise and clear messaging• Knowledge and understanding of financial services and its regulations• Bachelor's degree or equivalent is required; an advanced degree is a plus (not required)
