We welcome candidates who can contribute to the diversity and excellence of our academic community.DescriptionThe Registrar's office is seeking an Academic Records Specialist who will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Registrar’s front counter.JOB DESCRIPTION:Serves as a resource for the university community on all matters related to student academic records and associated policies and procedures.

Provides front line customer service support for transcripts, degree/enrollment verification, and diplomas for students and alumni on behalf of the university.

May provide academic information to students, alumni, faculty and staff.

Researches problems relating to transcripts, certifications or credentials.

Requests and prepares official and unofficial academic transcripts for students and alumni.

Researches inquiries related to enrollment and degree verification provided by the Office of the Registrar on behalf of the National Student Clearinghouse.

Maintains data in the university student records database and corrects discrepancies.

Manages student form intakes and kiosk support.

Answers phone calls and responds to Registrar emails.Maintains and updates student data information as necessary.

Calmly attempts to resolve and de-escalate any customer issues.

Escalates calls to supervisor when necessary and appropriate.

Responds to requests for assistance and/or possible processing of transcripts and enrollment verifications.Tracks call-related information for auditing and reporting purposes.

Provides feedback reports on call issues related to downtime and/or training issues.

May work with school liaisons to prepare order, and distribute diplomas on behalf of the institution.

Performs related responsibilities as required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:A high school diploma or equivalent

ANDThree years of administrative support/customer service experience.

Computer applications and experience in a university records environment preferred.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:Intermediate to advanced level of skill with Microsoft Office; specifically Word and Excel.
