Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for an Accounting Specialist in Atlanta, Georgia. The selected candidate will be joining a team focused on managing high volume accounts payable and receivable. The role is situated in the industry of accounting and requires comprehensive knowledge of data entry.Responsibilities: Manage high volume accounts payable and receivable efficiently. Utilize Pro-Contractor and Viewpoint for managing accounts. Assist in data entry tasks to maintain accurate records. Resolve customer inquiries related to accounts payable and receivable. Monitor customer accounts and initiate actions as necessary. Collaborate with the team to ensure smooth operation of accounting functions. Ensure customer credit applications are processed accurately. Maintain accurate customer credit records. Implement data entry skills in performing daily tasks. Adhere to accounting best practices and company policies. Requirements Minimum of 3 years of experience in an accounting or finance role Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) Strong data entry skills and the capacity to perform data entry tasks accurately Excellent understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting Proficient in using accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite Strong analytical skills and attention to detail Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field is preferred Relevant professional certifications such as CPA are desirable Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and manage priorities effectively Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions based on data.
