The Erosion Company (TEC) is currently hiring an on-site Administrative Assistant for our Atlanta market. We are the largest and most experienced Erosion Control contractor in the Southeast, offering comprehensive erosion control, specialty materials, forestry, and other site clean-up/control services to a wide variety of clients.The Administrative Assistant is a key contributor to the success of TEC. They take “ownership” in support of the Estimating department. They will work closely with all levels of the organization and must ensure the overall commitment to excellence, customer service, and quality that is key to TEC’s Success.Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Prepares work to be accomplished by gathering information and requirements, and setting priorities.
Evaluates offers to purchase by costing changes, additions, and site requirements.
Obtains bids from vendors and subcontractors by specifying materials; identifying qualified subcontractors; negotiating prices.
Resolves cost discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information.
Prepares special reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
Maintains quality service by following organization standards.
Maintains continuity among corporate, division, and local work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Minimum Requirements:
High School Diploma
Strong computer skills, MS Office suite
Knowledge of the construction industry (preferred)
