We're looking for an experienced Product Designer to join our enterprise design team to contribute to our flagship product, Aladdin Wealth. You will be joining a product team with a start-up feel and a global impact. Aladdin Wealth provides wealth managers with an integrated suite of experiences for users that range from front-line financial advisors to the Chief Investment Officer at the home-office. Aladdin Wealth was born three years ago as a BlackRock hackathon project and has rapidly expanded as a product used by some of the largest wealth managers in the world. You will be working with some of the original participants in the hackathon project, financial service veterans and newcomers from technology companies, large and small. Location:Atlanta, GA, New York, NY, or San Francisco, CA The Role As a Product Designer on the Aladdin Wealth Enterprise team, you'll be involved with all aspects of the product design process, from brainstorming the next product feature to putting the finishing touches on a design before launching it to users across the globe. You'll work with partners in engineering, product, research, marketing, and business development and will use a wide variety of user experience, interaction design and visual design skills to enhance existing product experiences, create new ones as well as expand our design system. Role/Responsibilities: - Understand business objectives, desired outcomes, and user needs to create innovative product designs in collaboration with designers, product managers, engineers, partners, and clients
- You'll design everything from high level flows, to detailed wireframes, to high fidelity mockups, to clickable prototypes to express your vision.
- Work with UX Research or conduct your own informal testing to validate design directions and inform new thinking for key features.
- Clearly present your designs and rationale to our partners and other stakeholders
Basic Qualifications: - A portfolio that demonstrates a high level of visual polish and highlights your design process and decision-making ability, with at least 2 projects where you directly influenced all stages of the product design process (i.e. ideation, testing, iteration, etc.)
- 3+ years ofexperience in a similar design role, delivering data-heavy applications as part of a multi-functional team including engineering, design and product management
- Experience creating data visualizations and/or designing products that have innovated in visualizing large datasets.
- Prototyping skills with tools such as Sketch, InVision, Figma.
- Solid understanding of elements of visual design: Typography, Iconography, Color Theory, Layout and Composition
- Strong UX designskillset, including identifying problem statements, wireframing, testing, synthesis, iteration, prototyping.
- Experience applying and contributing to a design system, producing assets for development and visual QA of in-production designs.
Bonus Qualifications: - Prior experience creating products in the financial technology space such as banking, payments, wealth management, investing etc.
