job detailsjob summary:Our client, a well known auto manufacturer, is seeking a Production Engineering Supervisor for their new plant. You will plan and coordinate equipment maintenance, tooling, and production engineering activities with other departments. Supervise and develop team members while fostering a collaborative work environment.Required:

Bachelors Degree in engineering

Will be required to travel to Japan once employed

CAD knowledge: CATIA, Autocad etc

Assess manufacturing processes for cost-effectiveness and feasibility before and after engineering releases.

Lead Kaizen and cost reduction initiatives.

Manage engineering releases and changes, ensuring quality control and meeting customer requirements.

Use CAD software for equipment and parts design, including 3D imaging and motion simulation.

Set priorities with the Production Manager and maintain detailed documentation.

Investigate, purchase, and track company assets.

Supervise tooling construction with the Tooling Supervisor, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

Oversee plant expansion or alteration projects, coordinating with external contractors.

Mentor junior staff in leadership and practices, promoting leadership development.

Maintain high employee morale, reduce staff turnover, and encourage teamwork.
