BI Developer with TeradataLocation: Alpharetta, GA (hybrid onsite)Long Term Responsibilities: As a Business Intelligence Developer on the team, you will be an individual contributor focusing on driving continuous business improvements, bringing more profitable growth. You’ll define the analytics strategy in order to create agreements for data-based decision-making. Your end goal is to recommend improvements that will go straight to the bottom line, by helping us serve our customers through:

  • Partnering with others to understand business challenges.
  • Designing creative approaches to uncover the biggest opportunities for cost and time savings.
  • Building business cases and translating findings into practical business implications.
  • Identifying and recommending revenue and retention opportunities within the Consumer base.
  • Working with a large dataset environment, solving complex technical problems with the assistance of other subject-matter specialists, and partnering with other teams to drive the company's initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities, size potential gains, and present an actionable plan.
  • Using data visualization and other data-gathering methods to either provide internal strategic direction or guide decisions for other teams
MUST HAVE SKILLS (Most Important):
  • Solid understanding of data warehouse and data lake architecture (Teradata)
  • Experience with Tableau or similar visual analysis tools, for developing visually compelling interactive dashboards.
  • Proficient in database concepts and coding with SQL (BTEQ).
DESIRED SKILLS:
  • Experience with general-purpose programming languages such as Python, Perl, etc.
  • Experience with data mining and visualization skills.
  • Enjoy working in unexplored areas of the business where our information and knowledge is limited and prior best practices are unestablished.
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Experience with research, analytical, and critical thinking.
  • Must be proficient in SQL and working with large data sets.
