These are industrial size chiller and boiler systems so anyone interested must have relevant experience working in commercial or industrial environmentShiftsWed - Sun 2nd shift 3pm - 11pmSun - Thurs 3rd shift 11pm - 7amTues - Saturday 1st shift 8am - 4pmFri - Saturday 11am - 7pm Sun 11am - 3pm Mon - Tues 3pm - 11pmJob DescriptionSupports the safe and efficient operation of University Centrifugal Chillers (up to 2000 tons) and other equipment associated with the chiller plants in accordance with the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) and the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) codes and standards. Monitors and helps troubleshoot the chiller management system that controls the chilled water equipment serving the campus. Supports the monitoring and maintenance of cooling tower water treatment controllers and associated equipment. Performs daily rounds to inspect the chiller equipment. Supports the sampling and testing of the chemicals as necessary to maintain correct water chemistry for systems. Works in a safe manner and keeps up with OSHA standards and all other applicable federal regulations. Completes preventative maintenance orders, work orders, and documents work performed. Communicates orally and in writing with department personnel and management for the purpose of supporting the chiller plant operation, maintenance, and repair. Performs related responsibilities as required.Responsibilities

Support the monitoring and maintenance of cooling tower water treatment controllers and associated equipment.

Perform daily rounds to inspect the chiller equipment.

Work in a safe manner, adhering to OSHA standards and all other applicable federal regulations.

Essential Skills

Experience with large commercial HVAC equipment.

Experience with centrifugal chillers.

Knowledge of auxiliary equipment, including pumps, bearings, and belts.

Ability to troubleshoot and maintain chiller systems.

High school diploma or equivalent.

Two years of experience operating HVAC equipment.

Graduation from an accredited HVAC technical school or equivalent experience.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Valid Georgia driver's license and insurable driving record may be required.

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and bend, stoop, and twist.

Knowledge of ASME and NFPA codes and standards.

Work is conducted in public buildings, not private living areas. The campus consists of nearly 200 buildings divided into 7 zones, each managed by a zone supervisor.
