The Business Analysis Lead supervises a team of four, three Analysts and one Processor. In addition to supervising the various projects assigned to the team, the BA Lead acts as the liaison between the life insurance licensing team and the various programming teams within and outside of Primerica. Projects include maintaining, modifying and improving Primerica’s legacy DB2 system for our production team, assisting in the creation and implementation of web-based applications used by the Primerica sales force, troubleshooting system issues and querying Primerica’s various tables and databases and generating related ad hoc reports. This team supports the systems that are used to quickly and efficiently onboard new Primerica sales representatives, a critical component of Primerica’s business model. Supporting these systems with a small team requires individuals who believe in teamwork, are resourceful and who can leverage new ideas and technology to create efficiencies for the production team.The position requires working two days a week in our new corporate office in Duluth, GA. The office features a Café that serves a daily selection of entrees, hot and cold sandwiches and salads. Our office also has a gift shop that is open Monday through Friday.The ideal candidate will have some supervision experience as this position is responsible for managing the activities of the four team members. Providing verbal and written feedback to team members designed to improve and acknowledge performance is also required. Knowledge and/or certification in various applications such as MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams), SQL, IBM Mainframe, Jira and some knowledge of COBOL is highly desirable.

Responsibilities
  • Planning and managing projects to ensure they are completed in a timely fashion and within budget (if applicable)
  • Plans and designates project resources, prepares budgets (if applicable) and keeps stakeholders informed the entire way
  • Analyze Licensing team business needs and provide technical solutions to new and existing problems and/or issues
  • Be able to answer questions from other teams and give feedback on how to incorporate Licensing system more efficiently and effectively
  • Oversees daily functions and project time management of reporting employees, Delegates and assign new projects and task to the team
  • Trains, evaluates and develops new employees
  • Is the liaison between Licensing users and programmer
  • Ensures that projects meet outlined objectives
  • Resolves system issues. Handle multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Assists with: Testing project (system changes made by programmers) and writing SQL queries for ad hoc reports (SQL / WINSQL knowledge)
  • Supports and maintains Licensing/Renewal (LDSS) table systems

Knowledge Skills & Abilities
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent business experience
  • Three to five years analysis, quality control, information systems, or similar experience
  • Two years experience as Business Systems Analyst or equivalent business and technical experience preferred
  • Specialized depth and/or breadth of expertise in how Licensing systems interact with company and Project Management Life Cycle
  • Experience managing and supervising others is a plus
  • Must employ analytical thinking and problem-solving strategies
  • Works independently, with guidance in only the most complex situations
