Safely and efficiently acts as the liaison between business users and IT developers to assist with system development and maintenance. Responsible for eliciting, analyzing, validating, specifying, verifying, and managing the business needs of project stakeholders. Works closely with departments, subject matter experts, and technical resources to identify business needs, define projects, develop requirements, and manage the development effort to completion.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Support end-user requests related to ERP system changes and coordinates within IT framework to ensure effective use of current IT systems.
  • Meet with customers to gather and document effective business requirements and communicate the information to the appropriate IT groups.
  • Map and analyze end-to-end business processes within third party and proprietary systems as well as integration within the ERP system.
  • Implement and coordinate with internal IT contractors all new systems and enhancements with appropriate testing, change management, and communication with minimal rework.
  • Develop test plans, support documentation, and training material for supported systems.
  • Identify, research, and resolve system issues proactively and provide recommendations to management, customers, and peers.
  • Provide level 3 user support and supports requirements as well as coordinates the resolution of issues to include change management, root cause analysis, and appropriate escalation as needed.
  • Develop and manage user acceptance testing and coordinate end user training.
  • Assist Project Managers in project timeline definition related to user documentation requirements including review phases, level of effort, and duration of requirements of management activities.
  • Perform special projects as requested and related tasks as needed.

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Undergraduate degree in information systems, business administration or relevant discipline preferred
  • 3-5 years major ERP experience.
  • 3-5 years experience in a Logistics environment working with a WMS (Warehouse Management System).
  • Logistics system analysis, design, and specification.
  • At least 5 years functioning as a Business Analyst. Experience writing Requirement, Functional and System Design Specifications.
  • English language competency including demonstrated verbal and written communication skills; ability to compose, edit and proofread documents
  • Ability to work under critical timelines, re-evaluate priorities and interact in cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent project management skills and detail-oriented.
  • Ability to work with all levels within the organization.
  • Self-motivated, with ability to set and achieve goals, and ability to prioritize multiple tasks in order to meet deadlines.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications required (database and spreadsheet experience)
  • Experience in writing SQL queries.

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • SAP Implementation or major ERP application support experience.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment, production control, purchasing, or planning is preferred.
  • Exhibits leadership ability with a track record of developing people and achieving challenging objectives.
  • Understands and can speak to application development life cycle and methodologies preferred.
  • A demonstrated successful track record of delivering projects of medium or above priority and risk is required.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Visio and Microsoft Project.
