Cloud Engineer is responsible for the design, management, and maintenance of cloud infrastructure [Microsoft Azure]. The duties also include following best practices for Cloud Infrastructure, Cloud security, and Network security. The Cloud engineer will contribute to the implementation of PaaS, IaaS, and serverless solutions, assist in maintaining the services needed to bridge cloud and on-prem architecture, manage and operate scalable, highly available fault tolerant systems, and develop Infrastructure as Code.This position will serve our Enterprise Division, located in Atlanta, GA. This role can be located in a major remote anywhere in the US.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:
  • Develop in-depth knowledge of company’s existing IT/cloud architecture/in-house infrastructure and technology portfolio.
  • Assist in a Cloud First Strategy, deploying and migration of applications and services to the Microsoft Azure Cloud
  • Build, deploy, and maintain multi-tier architectures: load balancers, caching, web servers, application servers, databases, and networking in a Microsoft Azure Cloud environment.
  • Design and deploy new applications and enhancements to existing applications, software, and operating systems.
  • Develop infrastructure as code, terraforming, and configuration of other advanced cloud services.
  • Develop templates and other configurable items to enable automation.
  • Design and implementation of self-healing and fault-tolerant services.
  • Infrastructure as Code: design and security, configuration management, integration, deployment, performance monitoring and tuning, automation of infrastructure.
  • Deploy cloud infrastructure under security best practices.
  • Hands-on troubleshooting of Cloud infrastructure.
  • Create and maintain documentation as it relates to system configuration, mapping, processes, and service records.

Qualifications

WHAT YOU NEED:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 10+ years of experience in Systems engineering, VMWare, Network Engineering, Storage Engineering, AWS Cloud engineering, IT Management, and/or related advanced IT experience.
  • Minimum of 3+ years of proven experience in Azure Cloud engineering utilizing Microsoft Azure Cloud services; Infrastructure (Iaas).
  • Advanced experience in overseeing the design, development, and implementation of software systems, applications, and related products in a Cloud environment.
  • Proven experience with Cloud systems planning, Cloud security principles, and general software management best practices.
  • Basic understanding of relational and non-relational databases.
  • Strong system administration (Linux/Unix or Windows) at the command-line level.
  • Experience with IT DevOps, Infrastructure as Code, and/or Terraforming
  • Proficient in cloud security best practices.
  • Advanced Experience with templates and other configurable items to enable automation.
  • Familiarity with deployment techniques (and tools) in a distributed environment.
  • Basic monitoring techniques in a dynamic environment.
  • Understanding of stateless and loosely coupled distributed applications.
  • Familiarity with messaging and queuing services.

HOW TO STAND OUT:
  • Master’s degree in Business Administration, Information systems management, or related field.
  • Advanced experience developing Infrastructure as Code
  • Manufacturing industry experience preferred.

  • High technical aptitude.
