Description We are offering a contract-to-permanent opportunity for a Communications Administrator in the Government sector. The role will be based in MORROW, Georgia, 30260-4300, United States. As a Communications Administrator, you will be tasked with managing and administering communication systems and applications, maintaining telephony systems, and providing technical support among other duties.Responsibilities: Administer and configure enterprise communication systems and applications Program desktop telephones, route points and plans, gateways, device profiles, backup devices, and dial plans Develop, code, and support VoIP applications and call control scripts Troubleshoot problems related to communication system servers and provide solutions Coordinate service installations with carriers and test services Manage the organization’s cellular services with vendor and troubleshoot network signal boosters Provide support for call tracking software application, design and configure escalation rules, and generate related reports Develop training materials for assigned technologies and systems, conduct training sessions with user departments as required Manage telecommunications projects and participate in developing and maintaining contingency and disaster recovery plans Process documentation associated with Department/Division operations within designated timeframes and per established procedures. Requirements Possess in-depth knowledge and experience with Cisco Voice Over Internet (VoIP) Proficient in Cisco CallManager Familiarity with Cisco Hardware Have a solid understanding of VOIP - Voice Over IP Hands-on experience with Voice over internet protocol (VoIP) Proficiency in VoIP Demonstrated ability to work with VoIP System Prior experience working in a government environment is a plus Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail Bachelor's degree in Communications, Information Technology, or related field is preferred Prior administrative experience within a communications department is advantageous Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
