Position DescriptionTo provide clinical/administrative oversight of the nutrition program to include, but not limited to inpatient / outpatient nutrition, oncology and other nutrition divisions. The Clinical Nutrition Coordinator will be responsible for developing, implementing, and conducting nutrition services as well as a potential for at least 25% direct patient care. Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to: participation in the billing system, documentation formats, maintaining education materials & patient resources and adhering to the nutrition care process. Additionally, manages the staff schedules, competencies, and program compliance to both state and federal regulatory agencies as well as compliance to any facility recognized standards for best practice and to advance current processes. Serves as a point of contact for patients, caregivers, nutrition staff and referring physicians to provide nutrition resources and assistance with accessing clinical supportive care and nutritional services offered within Northside Hospital, Northside Hospital affiliates and the community.
Position RequirementsREQUIRED: Bachelor’s degree in dietetics, human nutrition, food and nutrition, nutrition education, or food systems management from an accredited college or university; Successful completion of a supervised practice experience component in dietetic practice as accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Dietetic Education (CADE); Successful completion of the CDR examination At least three (3) years of clinical nutrition experience. Demonstrated ability to work independently in a self-directed environment. PREFERRED: Previous experience in project management, clinical nutrition and/or food service management. Masters of Science Degree in a Nutrition related field. Certified Specialist with the Commission on Dietetic Registration Previous experience working in a leadership role specific to nutrition.License/Certification Requirements: YesWork Hours: 8a - 4:30pmWeekend Requirements: NoOn-Call Requirements: No
