Job DescriptionThe Automation Specialist must be conversant and competent in broad range of technology to enable productive interaction with information technology employees and leaders. Conversely, the specialist will demonstrate the ability to establish a good working relationship with business partners and ensure technology is an enabler and not a limiter. The specialist will have practical experience working in a highly technical, fast-paced role and environment in which they will analyze operational and business processes and structure to provide automation and technology capabilities that are aligned to support service levels and business objectives. They will focus on the continued confidentiality, integrity and availability of the organization's technology and information assets are essential. As a steward of the core banking system, the specialist may be required to speak into all areas of Information Technology, including hardware and software acquisition, implementation, and long-term support in conjunction with IT Engineering. They will foster an environment of open communication, learning, quality customer service, problem-solving, risk management and idea generation.

Process automation buildout and support.

Maintenance and OS-level configuration of the core banking application.

Availability of the system including internal devices and APIs.

Connectivity to the network and automation systems.

Provide 24/7 tier 2 support to the core operations team including backup to the tier 3 support as needed.

Play a key role in the training and execution of application failover and release update procedures.

Manage relations with internal and vendor network and hardware support teams.

Participate in recurrent training to support the entire core banking hardware and software technology stack.

Provide documentation support.

Mentoring of the Core Operations team.

High School Diploma or equivalent.

2+ years hands-on experience with (IBM) Power Architecture and associated Operating Systems (AIX).

2+ years hands-on experience with core banking automation systems.

4+ years hands-on experience with core banking data systems and associated operations to support key financial business processes. null
