This role supports Arvato’s newest data center services, delivering critical solutions such as high-security transport, white-glove delivery, and technical support. Our clients include hyperscale data center operators, high-tech freight forwarders, co-location providers, and Software as a Service (SaaS) companies.The Data Center Technician assumes a critical role in the installation and upkeep of cabling to guarantee seamless operations of hardware networks, including equipment and server/network rack decommissioning.YOUR TASKS Arrive at clients’ sites on time, with all required equipment, uniform, procedures, documentation, and PPE.Cable server racks by patching and dressing fibre and copper cables (in certain regions, and training will be provided).Provide industry-leading customer service levels by always acting professionally with clients and colleagues.Follow clients’ procedures and requirements, including health and safety, and security.Communicate with colleagues, including managers, planners, team leaders and supervisors, in a consistent, timely, and efficient manner. Reports include arrival times, delays, safety concerns, and completion times.Complete daily checklists and providing reports on daily activities or tasks, including other general administration tasks.Schedule Flexibility: Must be available to work a flexible schedule, including varying shifts, weekends, and travel as needed.
