Lead and manage agile teams of data engineers and developers to build, deliver, and support strategic commercial initiatives at scale. Responsible for the managing engineering of Inspire's enterprise data platforms, enabling value-driven business use cases and deep analytics

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Manage 1-3 development teams leading technical execution and delivery of new initiatives
  • Ensure that technical solutions are in line with company standards in respect to architecture, security, compliance, testing and product direction
  • Implement industry best practices and tools to continually improve teams' ability to deliver and maintain solutions
  • Attract, Mentor, guide, coach, coordinate training opportunities and support individual growth of direct reports

EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, data science, information science or related field, or equivalent work required
  • Graduate degree in computer science, data science, information science or related field, or equivalent work preferred

EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS
  • 5 years' experience building and supporting large scale and highly available technology solutions and directly managing or leading a team(s) of data engineers and developers
  • Experience in retail, restaurant, and/or eCommerce industry preferred
  • Working within an Agile development environment preferred

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES
  • Able to manage development team to deliverables: on time, scope and. budget
  • Experience working with distributed teams
  • Able to present complex technical concepts to business partners and senior management
  • Experience leading teams with deep technical experience with enterprise development (e.g., Java, Python, SQL) and technology platforms (e.g., Databricks, Spark, Snowflake, Azure)
  • Deep understanding of creating and integrating REST-based web services
  • Proficiency with source control and release technologies (e.g., Git and Azure DevOps) and practices (e.g., CI/CD and automation)
  • Good soft skills, able to demonstrate solutions to business partners
  • Cross-Functional internal team exposure - has worked previously with Product, Design, QA and Delivery leads
  • Can help onboard and provide support to developers as they learn in their careers
  • Experience leading Agile/Scrum development teams
