Database AdministratorLocation: Johns Creek, GA Responsibilities:· Responsible for the maintenance and monitoring of SQL Server 2005-2017.· Develop, implement, administer, and maintain policies and procedures for ensuring the security and integrity of the company databases.· Ensure that database code meets company standards.· Resolve database performance and capacity issues.· Architect data archival procedures, knowledge of partitioned table schemas.· Proactively monitor SQL Server performance and provide recommendations to management for future growth needs.· Tune T-SQL queries to improve performance. Help developers improve the performance of queries by tweaking it or modifying indexes.· Monitor and maintain in-house built automation scripts for database and business process related operations.· Hands on with High Availability (Mirroring, Clustering, Always On Availability Group)· Resolve complex replication scenarios Qualifications:· SQL Server 2005-2017 administration, optimization, tsql experience (Create, modify and troubleshoot).· Minimum experience – 5+ years· Monitoring SQL server performance metrics and creating performance baselines.· Knowledge of troubleshooting SQL performance issues / errors.· Knowledge of object oriented programming, C# and Windows Powershell· Should be able to review security practices as well as database encryption policies
