Description We are seeking a highly skilled Desktop Support Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in providing technical support to end-users, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, managing network printers, and administering Active Directory. This role will primarily focus on resolving break/fix issues, ensuring the smooth operation of desktop systems, and supporting users with technical inquiries.Responsibilities:

Provide technical support and assistance to end-users regarding hardware, software, and network-related issues.

Troubleshoot and resolve desktop, laptop, printer, and peripheral hardware problems in a timely manner.

Install, configure, and maintain desktop operating systems and software applications.

Manage network printers, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting print-related issues.

Administer user accounts, permissions, and group policies in Active Directory.

Collaborate with other IT teams to escalate and resolve complex technical issues.

Document support activities, solutions, and procedures for knowledge sharing and reference.

Provide training and guidance to end-users on the effective use of IT systems and applications.

Assist in IT projects and initiatives, including hardware/software upgrades, migrations, and deployments.

Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends to enhance technical skills and knowledge.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field preferred.

Proven experience as a Desktop Support Technician or similar role.

Strong knowledge of desktop hardware, software, and peripherals.

Experience in troubleshooting and resolving break/fix issues.

Proficiency in managing network printers and resolving print-related problems.

Familiarity with Active Directory administration, including user management and group policies.

Excellent problem-solving skills with a customer-oriented approach.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician (MCDST), or similar are a plus.

Availability for occasional after-hours support and on-call rotation may be required.
