DevOps Engineer Job Description: We are seeking a qualified candidate for the role of DevOps Engineer. Basic Qualifications:
  • Minimum Degree Required: High School Diploma
  • Minimum Years of Experience: 1 year(s) in progressive roles focused on working in a Data Center with large scale environmental; IT systems, managing IT operations, process improvement and compliance.
Preferred Qualifications: Degree Preferred: Bachelor's Degree Preferred Fields of Study: Information Technology Preferred Knowledge/Skills:
  • PowerShell, Python, BASH/SH, Azure DevOps, Azure/AWS IaaS, Packer, Terraform Enterprise, Git
  • Demonstrates abilities and/or a proven record of success performing infrastructure automation and application development related functions within a team environment, emphasizing the following areas:
  • Working within established Software Development Lifecycles and methodologies including agile, scrum, iterative & waterfall to support the success of the larger IT organization.
  • Expert level understanding of preferred programming language (Python, PowerShell, and BASH).
  • Ability to leverage REST APIs for integrating with existing services
  • Understanding of version control systems such as Git, Subversion, Mercurial, etc. including advanced concepts such as branching, merging, stashing, etc.
  • Orchestration/Continuous Integration/Deployment tools
  • Cloud infrastructure (IaaS) fundamentals within Azure and AWS.
  • Maintaining self-proficiency through continuous learning and other professional development activities including seeking growth opportunities for development, sharing knowledge, and advancing your digital acumen.
  • Demonstrating a history of staying current in emerging technology trends.
  • Displaying initiative and an ability to develop applications in a self-directed and self-disciplined manner
  • Working collaboratively with other developers, including participating in code reviews.
  • Communicating effectively both verbally and written with project team members
  • Using robust analytic thinking skills with the ability to identify, debug, and resolve technical issues.
  • Understanding of security, business continuity and disaster recovery as it pertains to software development.
  • Interfacing effectively with people at all levels of the Firm and utilizing available resources within the Firm.
  • Working with ITIL process and ITIL methodologies including change management and service management.
