This role will create and maintain the strategic plan (3-year roadmap, strategies, capabilities, and metrics), facilitate, integrate, and prepare RSBB for Board and C-suite deliverables. The role will need to be excellent at gathering insights from data and turning those insights into action by engaging senior leaders across RSBB, and Truist. This role will have frequent interaction with Corporate Strategy and Executive Leadership members, ensuring that RSBB’s focus areas are closely aligned to Truist’s strategic priorities. May lead a team.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesFollowing is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time. This leader will be a high performer with focus on the following activities:Strategic PlanningLead development of RSBB’s 3-year strategic plan and annual priorities, including board meeting material, investor meetings, regulatory meetings, agency meetings and internal meetings. Serve as primary owner and creator of associated presentation materials.

Facilitate robust dialogue and planning sessions with RSBB executive leaders to prepare RSBB for key strategy and Board deliverables.

Manage competing priorities across RSBB and drive focus on initiatives that deliver outsized financial performance and moves the needle on key metrics.

Collaborate with peers to develop RSBB’s annual business plan, business performance reviews, etc.

Develop roadmaps aligned with RSBB’s strategic objectives that provide guidance to stakeholders and drives actionable outcomes to achieve RSBB’s strategic KPIs and metrics.

Manage resource allocation, investment, and initiative prioritization by partnering with stakeholders (digital, finance, technology, marketing, etc.).

Competitive IntelligenceMaintain a strong understanding of external competitive developments and their impact on the business and strategy.

Research new trends or entrants to evaluate changes to overarching strategy.

Provide business insight, analysis, and competitive intelligence, including industry and client research to support decision making and performance trends.

Work closely with internal/external partners to identify and close competitive gaps within RSBB’s peer group.

Strategy Projects & Strate-cutionOwn and drive 2-4 strategy projects at any given time, while gaining buy-in and engagement from senior executive leaders. Projects may include evaluation of market expansion, product gaps, refine client segmentation, client coverage models, client lifetime value, client acquisition, deepening, etc.

Support evaluation of FinTech and other strategic partnerships that may accelerate RSBB’s strategic objectives.

Direct strategic thinking, using a data-driven approach, quickly identifying most critical aspects of problem and most appropriate structure on individual projects. Work with future owners of initiatives to structure future operating state of projects and remain engaged in a consultative capacity as needed.

LeadershipInfluence RSBB’s strategic agenda by being an objective thought partner to senior leaders, beyond immediate scope of projects.

Help manage project portfolio, priorities, and demand; help create teams with the right mix of skills, experience, and backgrounds for each client engagement.

Engage in broader team efforts, including recruiting, staffing / deployment decisions, and performance management.

Develop strong followership with junior team members who actively seek advice/mentorship.

QualificationsRequired Qualifications:The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Bachelor’s degree in Business, or equivalent education and related training or experience.

10+ years of experience in management consulting, corporate strategy, investment banking, private equity / venture capital, strategic finance, or similar roles, including 3-5+ years of experience leading teams.

Ability to structure and scope complex problems and apply a range of analytical tools to develop solutions.

Strong executive presence.

Strong interpersonal, presentation and influencing skills. Ability to collaborate and build relationships with colleagues at all levels and achieve goals without direct control over resources.

Demonstrate an outstanding ability to communicate effectively and confidently and to work well in cross-functional teams.

Proven track record demonstrating a high level of personal initiative, setting, and achieving challenging goals.

Openness to an environment of active developmental feedback from peers and managers.

Advanced MS Excel and PowerPoint skills.

Preferred Qualifications:Advanced graduate degree in Business, Finance, or equivalent academic field preferred.

Financial Services experience preferred.

Deep knowledge of consumer, small business, direct banking.

Graduate Banking School or other Leadership Programs.
