We are currently looking for a compassionate and dedicated ER RN Flow Coordinatorto join our ER team.
The ED Flow Coordinator provides direct supervision over the flow of the Emergency Department in accordance with established policies and procedures of Doctors Hospital of Augusta Emergency Services. In collaboration with the patient, the patient’s family and other members of the health care team, the ED flow coordinator assesses, plans, implements, evaluates, and coordinates flow plans. Demonstrates strong clinical assessment, nursing intervention, and strong communication/leadership skills. In addition to clinical responsibilities the ED flow coordinator provides Emergency Service support
You will:
- Communicationregarding flow daily with all ED staff.
- Use process flow map at all times for consistency from shift to shift.
- Participate in duties assigned by the director or manager of Emergency Services
- Ensure Direct Bedding is happening daily. Ensure patients are on deck for triage and subwaiting.
- Lightening rounds with providers with supporting documentation of issues to be turned into ED leadership daily.
- Facilitation of discharges.
- Delegation of tasks. (ie. Medication administration, team triage, etc.)
- Facilitation of resources for code responses(Sepsis, Stroke, STEMI)
- Surge Plan implementation
- Real time focused metric evaluation. (dispo to leave, low acuity LOS, Inpatient: bed assigned to patient in a bed. Etc.)
- Evaluation of TrackER, BMAC and the Meditech BedBoard
- Relief Coordinator when assigned
- Licensure: Current valid Georgia license
- Education/Training: Graduate of a NLN accredited school of nursing, BLS, ACLS, PALS. TNCC and ENPC preferred. All certifications must be through American Red Cross or American Heart Association.
- Experience: One (1) year experience in emergency nursing.
- Work towards BSN for further growth opportunities. (prefer within 2 years of hire into role)
- Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Other Attributes: Effective communication skills; both orally and written. Computer skills needed. Ability to manage a team and work with others within a team to ensure quality patient care. Strong problem solving skills.
