Job DescriptionThe Endpoint Support Engineer is responsible for support of endpoint devices within their facility. A thorough understanding of user and business needs are essential. In this role, an Endpoint Support Engineer has a good understanding of user and business needs. Design, implement, and support approved technical solutions as well as resolve endpoint issues. Additional responsibilities include:- Designs, implements, and deploys platforms to support and meet business needs. Identifies and recommends opportunities for improvement and performance issue solutions.
- Provides intermediate-level technical support and monitors multiple technology domains/platforms through the use of monitoring tools and applications.
- Maintains comprehensive technical knowledge of software and infrastructure platforms.
- Tests and evaluates IT vendor products.
- Updates, writes, and maintains documentation for the department.
- Provides Production support for assigned systems including on-call rotation support.
- Participates in diagnosing and resolving technical issues with assigned systems.
- Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.
- Proficiency in managing and supporting security tools, including product installations, upgrades, and technical support across multiple platforms including one or more of the following:
- OS Proficiency with Windows, macOS, Linux,
- Skills with AWS are a plus
- Proficient experience packaging, installing, and maintaining 3rd party vendor products in a large enterprise.
- Understanding of VM and VDI provisioning processes
- Ability to learn and adapt to changing Cybersecurity technologies, tools, techniques, and concepts
- Excellent analytical and communication skills
- Ability to work well within a team environment
- Ability to complete assigned tasks within agreed-upon timeframes and with minimum coaching
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, mathematics, or engineering is required, master’s degree is a plus.
- 3-5 years of experience in managing and supporting security tools, including product installations, upgrades, and technical support across multiple platforms.
- Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager CM preferred
