Agile Coach Great opportunity for an Agile Coach

to join a dynamic team that supports an enterprise organization! In this role, you will working with multiple development teams and ensure the consistent use of the Scrum and Kanban methodologies to achieve the benefits of iterative and incremental software releases. The Agile Coach is responsible for the strategic and practical applications, review and training of Agile methods within the organization. This role will be responsible for identifying and making recommendations to improve overall organizational and business agility and defining new processes as necessary

Responsibilities:
  • Trains new teams in agile methodology & practice and mentors team members in their individual roles and responsibilities including Product Owner, Scrum Master, team members and people leaders.
  • Facilitates discussions and resolutions regarding misalignment and conflict as needed.
  • Able to organize and facilitate each phase of various team’s sprints including daily standup, backlog refinement, demo, retrospective, and release planning.
  • Maintains and communicates metrics related to team performance.
  • Represents the teams in planning and status meetings and track and identify dependencies while removing any impediments.
  • Focuses on helping teams meet commitments through development and implementation of lean processes and practices.
  • Excels at communication and collaboration to move passion and guidance into high performing teams.
  • Remains flexible to move quickly on ideas and maintains ability to pivot and move in new directions as conditions present themselves.
  • Continually drives to improve and contribute to business processes and culture to rapidly deliver results. Enthusiastically manages, monitors and develops team through continuous training, implementation and practice.
  • Uses data to make decisions and inform direction on team performance improvements.
  • Develops purpose-built, agile practices using knowledge of various frameworks and techniques while recognizing differing environments.
  • Encourages teams to collaborate, take ownership, be transparent and continually strive for improvement.
  • Identifies gaps and opportunities in team and enterprise value stream and makes recommendations to improve.
  • May write process documentation as needed
This is a 12+ month contract position. You will be in a hybrid environment 2 days a week in office and 3 days remote. This company goes back in the office on April 4th. This is a great opportunity to work within an enterprise environment, flexible work hours, and great work life balance. REQUIRED SKILLS:
  • 6-8 years of experience in IT
  • 2 years leading agile teams in the use of SCRUM and Kanban
  • 1+ years of experience in servant leadership role
  • Experience working in Enterprise Agile organizations
  • Experience coaching, guiding and leading others
  • Experience in process improvement and process documentation
  • Proven ability to advocate for organizational agility, provide recommendations and influence at all levels.

PREFERRED SKILLS:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/technical area or related field preferred
  • Infrastructure Experience
  • SAFe Agile experience
