Generating, identifying, and analyzing technical requirements and ability to translate to design. Exercising technical authority for the design, planning, organizing, control, integration, and completion of Weapons System Infrastructure & Capabilities projects to include major facility modifications and construction projects in support of the Trident II missile program. Developing and reviewing engineering data packages; requirement documents, drawings, specifications, testing & acceptance criteria/procedures and cost estimates. Planning and formulating engineering program reviews, product design for compliance with engineering principles and Lockheed Martin standards, customer contract requirements, and related specifications. Evaluating and approving proposal inquiries, design changes, specification documents and drawing releases. Coordinating and participating in activities concerned with technical development, scheduling, and resolving engineering design and test problems. Collaborating closely with internal and external customers and partners on the planning of activities to ensure production needs are addressed with minimum schedule impacts.The successful candidate will typically have 2 - 5 years of professional experience. Considered experienced, but still a learner.Basic Qualifications:- Bachelor of Science from anaccredited college in Electrical Engineering orrelated discipline, or equivalentexperience/combined education.- Experience in the design of electricalengineering projects- Interim Secret clearance required prior tostart. Must be able to obtain and maintain aSecret clearance. Cannot be a dual citizen.Desired Skills:1. Experience in design, management, andimplementation of facility/engineering projectsfrom conception to completion.2. Facilitating design reviews with andunderstanding of the adjudication andverification processes.3. Understanding of Lightning Protection and Grounding System (LP&GS) requirements. Job includes, but not limited to design, test procedures, administrative documentation and support to sustain LP&GS infrastructure in compliance with NFPA780 and NAVSEA OP5 requirements.4. Design, installation and test procedures for data distribution systems (including fiber, wireless and copper) for critical missile support hardware/consoles5. Design, installation and test procedures for facility AC power distribution systems, in compliance with NFPA70 for critical missile support hardware/consoles6. Experience preparing/reviewing thefollowing facility engineering products:Statements of Work, Facility Design Criteria,Specification documents, and construction costestimates.7. General knowledge and understanding ofrelated codes/standards. e.g.; NAVFAC UnifiedFacilities Criteria (UFC) & Unified Facilities Guide Specifications (UFGS), NFPA (70, 101, 780), OSHA, NAVSEA OP5, etc8. Excellent computer utilization skills(AutoCAD, REVIT, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project)9. Proven experience creating work productsfor design, inspection and testing activities.10. Demonstrated ability to coordinate/resolvetechnical issues across multipleteams/customers11. Professional registration or licensure –current registration as an Engineer Intern (EI),Engineer in Training (EIT), or licensure as aProfessional Engineer (PE)12. Project Management and/or ConstructionManagement experience in commercial,industrial, government, military or DoDfacilities.13. Understanding of the A&E design processand providing oversite of engineering designpackages.14. Experience with Lightning Protection andGrounding Systems (LP&GS) of DoD/militaryordnance facilities and equipment15.
