Finanace Director

The Finance Director is a key leadership role under direction of the City Manager, and as such, servesas chief financial advisor to the City Manager and City Council. This position is required to perform andsupervise complex professional administrative programs and services, financial activities and financialreporting for the City.The Finance Director must act within ethical and professional rules of their profession and in accordancewith the City's Personnel Policy. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Public Administration or related field with extensiveexperience in public finance administration. Minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible professional experience. Certified Public Accountant is desirable, not required. Proficient in government finance including (GAAP) Generally Accepted Account Principals and(GASB) Governmental Account Standard Board. Advanced Municipal knowledge and supervisory experience in Accounting, InvestmentManagement, Asset Management, Treasury Management, Budgeting, Financial Planning,General Ledger, Grant Management, Annual Audits, Occupational Taxes, Property Taxes,Purchasing, Receivables and Payables. Proficient with Microsoft Office Tools for spreadsheets, graphing, tables, calculations andautomation of large quantities of data. Team oriented leader with ability to recruit, select, train and maintain excellence in allprofessional, para-professional and clerical Finance staff.
