Basic Qualifications:

Minimum Degree Required: Bachelor Degree

Minimum Years of Experience: 8 year(s)

Certification(s) Required:

One or more of the following credentials or certifications is required: CPA License, Level 3 of the CFA, JD, PhD, MBA or Master's degree in Finance, Tax, Quantitative Statistics, Financial Engineering, Economics, Real Estate Finance or Hospitality A State Certified Appraiser License, Member of Appraisal Institute (MAI), Member of American Society of Appraisers (ASA) or achieve certification of CRE, CRI and/or CCIM, CHA, or PMP

Preferred Qualifications:

Preferred Fields of Study: Engineering and Business, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Finance, Mathematics, Real Estate

Additional Educational Preferences:

A Juris Doctorate, PhD, MBA or a Master degree in Finance, Tax, Quantitative Statistics, Financial Engineering, Economics may also be considered.

Certification(s) Preferred:

Professional Engineer license

Certified Energy Manager

Certified Indoor Air Quality Professional

LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certification

Preferred Knowledge/Skills:

As a Director, you will work as part of a team with extensive industry experience and participate in engagements to service various clients focused on design, management and development of building energy improvements to reduce energy costs. The technologies include all facets of energy and water reduction, including lighting, HVAC, EMS controls, lighting controls, renewables, compressed air and other energy solutions.

You will also be asked to help lead business development efforts to provide solutions for our clients.

Demonstrate thought leader-level abilities as a team leader, emphasizing the following areas:
  • Possess experience includes efficiency improvements or audits of building utility infrastructure systems including but not limited to mechanical system plants, lighting, distribution plants, motors & automated controls;
  • Manage engineering resources & commitments;
  • Set and review priorities and efficiency targets with clients & internally;
  • Train, mentor, direct FMRE or outside partners as needed;
  • Audit, and direct audits of client facilities & presentations;
  • Gather key project details such as utility data, facility profiles, site drawings, system operating characteristics;
  • Visit project sites to assess and document building, mechanical, electrical, controls, & plumbing systems;
  • Investigate, analyze, and document energy conservation & water cost reduction measures;
  • Audit sites as required, & set auditing requirements and needs;
  • Conduct detailed engineering analysis including baseline profiles, end-use analysis, & retrofit analysis;
  • Prepare and present technical content, proposals, analysis, & feasibility reports;
  • Provide critical review of proposals and reports through technical narrative editing;
  • Know various facets of energy auditing, energy calculations, and generating detailed energy reports regarding savings opportunities;
  • Create benefit/cost analysis based on engineering fundamentals;
  • Calculate and estimate various incentives for clients to implement energy reduction projects;
  • Take initiative to understand and learn about existing and new energy saving technologies, & calculate/analyze the energy savings they create;
  • Demonstrate ability to research and analyze pertinent client, industry, & technical matters;
  • Possess experience demonstrating problem solving skills and the ability to prioritize & manage multiple tasks;
  • Possess ability to interact with various levels of client and firm management in both written & verbal form;
  • Possess communication skills with the ability to articulate complex valuation topics through clear, concise & impactful presentation;
  • Possess ability to self-motivate and take responsibility for personal growth and development;
  • Innovate through new and existing technologies, along with experimenting with digitization solutions;
  • Possess business development skills and self motivation to identify opportunities, participate in the development of proposal approaches/materials and presentations/sales pitches;
  • Work with large, complex data sets to build models and leverage data visualization tools; and,
  • Perform other duties as required to generate savings opportunities for clients.
