Description We are seeking a Front Desk Coordinator to be a part of our team in the construction industry, based in St. Simons Island, Georgia. In this role, you will serve as the first point of contact for clients, vendors, and visitors, and provide administrative support to ensure the smooth operation of our office. This job offers a contract to hire employment opportunity.Responsibilities: Act as the first point of contact for clients, vendors, and visitors, ensuring they are greeted and directed appropriately. Operate a multi-line telephone system, answering, screening, or forwarding calls, and taking messages or scheduling appointments as necessary. Maintain a tidy and presentable reception area. Handle scheduling and management of bookings and appointments for contractors and other staff members. Respond to emails and correspond with clients in a professional manner. Prepare transaction receipts, manage customer billing, and organize financial records. Assist with obtaining necessary permits and documentation for construction projects. Provide support to other departments with administrative duties as required. Perform clerical duties such as filing, photocopying, transcribing, and faxing. Address customer inquiries, providing high-quality support and guidance. Requirements Minimum of 1 year experience in a similar role within the construction or contractor industry Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook, and Microsoft Word Experience in administrative assistance and data entry tasks Proven ability to handle a multi-line phone system Excellent customer service skills Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with all levels of staff and clients Demonstrated ability to organize files and manage work orders efficiently Must have a proactive approach to problem-solving with strong decision-making skills Ability to handle confidential information with discretion Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment Self-motivated with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
