DescriptionJOB SUMMARY: Our Master Mechanic perform tooling conversions,
prepare machines for production, repair and install new machine parts as
needed, as well as perform preventative maintenance on machines. In
addition, they perform, and complete other work as assigned. All
employees must follow all Graphic Packaging safety procedures and
policies. They understand and align business operations and Maintenance
Department as he/she executes their role to exceed customer expectations
and align with GPI business, cultural, financial and operational
objectives.JOB FUNCTIONS: Job functions include but are not limited to
the following.Work within and adhere to GPI's core values of Integrity,
Respect, Accountability, Relationships and Teamwork.Make adjustments
and/or repairs to all equipment throughout the facilities to keep them
operational.Utilize maintenance inspection sheets or PM task lists to
perform preventative maintenance on machines, production/support
equipment, and/or facilities.Rebuild parts and make identified
repairs.Perform Tooling Conversions.Remove, clean, install tooling for
various machines such as cup formers, lid lines, etc. Make all necessary
adjustments and set proper settings. Test run equipment and make sure
product meets quality standards.Install new machines including running
conduits for all electrical hookups, running air and vacuum lines and
installing printers, side paper roll stand, and cup tubing if
needed.Prep machines for production: Run the machines to produce
products and evaluate their quality. Inspect product diameter,
thickness, height, and test for leaks. After completing PMs or
troubleshooting, validate product form and quality. If all test results
are satisfactory, turn machine over to operators for production. If test
results are unsatisfactory, make necessary machine adjustments and
repairs.Repair parts and install new parts onto specified equipment.As
needed, assist other Mechanics and fill in for production Operators
within various departments.Other duties as assigned.Required
SkillsBACKGROUND / EXPERIENCE / SKILLS:Manufacturing experience
preferred.Previous mechanical and electrical experience highly
preferred.The work requires the ability to read, analyze, and develop
plans based on blue prints and assembly drawings and/or parts
lists.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:Sitting or standing, depending on changing
job assignment, for extended periods.Awkward and/or repetitive
movements.Occasional Lifting up to 60 lbs. (assistance be given and/or
lift device can be used)Push/pull up to 50 lb. tool cart on
wheelsReading computer screen or other electronic devices.Use of various
hand and electrical tools and equipment.Work in areas of fluctuating
temperature.Must be willing and able to work overtime.Required
