Furniture Maker/Table Polisher/General Warehouse

Leighton Hall Furniture, a high-end furniture manufacturer, has an opening for an entry level Furniture Maker/Table Polisher/Warehouse Person. This person would have the following responsibilities:

1. Rub and polish high-end dining tables using air powered and electrical sanders and polishers and get furniture ready to ship.

2. Putting finished furniture in boxes and getting ready to ship.

2. Other woodwork associated with furniture making including sanding, prepping, and staining furniture for the finishing process.

3. General warehouse responsibilities including moving furniture, loading and unloading trucks, organizing warehouse area and assisting in setting up the showroom and monthly tradeshow.

4. Other general responsibilities.

This person must have the following skills/abilities:

1. Ability to follow instructions and work independently on projects and manage their time to meet deadlines.

2. Ability to work in a team environment and work with others.

3. Attention to detail and make sure the finished product is excellent quality.

4. Ability to lift over 70 lbs.

5. Ability to move furniture and do typical miscellaneous manufacturing and warehouse duties.

6. Ability and knowledge to use typical hand tools and power woodworking tools and equipment such as: polishers, sanders, drills, saws, etc.

7. Ability and knowledge to follow OHSA and and other applicable safety requirements.

1-3 years experience in the following areas is a plus:

1. Furniture maker/furniture finisher

2. Cabinet maker/finisher

3. Furniture repair

4. Automotive repair/detailing/polishing
