Southwire Job DescriptionGlobal Sourcing ManagerLocation: Carrollton, GA - Thorn CenterDescription of Duties and Responsibilities Leads the development of TCAS' supplier globalization initiative to mitigate supply chain risks, improve supply chain resiliency and reduce exposure to geopolitical influences Determine and execute strategies to globalize the TCAS supply base(s) Develop supplier/product migration roadmaps and implementation plans Work in collaboration with quality/compliance, product management, manufacturing, and supply chain teams to qualify new sources of supply. Investigate and understand the global marketplace for selected product categories Partner with functional department managers to establish strategic objectives and alignment with organizational priorities and objectives Identify levers and opportunities for supply chain optimization Complete analysis of opportunities which delineates total cost of ownership associated with each opportunity Develop necessary product specifications and processes to implement product production. Lead supplier negotiations and contract development Drive continuous supplier improvement in purchase price and total cost, including supply chain performance cost. Facilitate regularly scheduled meetings with suppliers to review scorecards and improve supplier's performance Other responsibilities as assigned.Qualifications and Experience Requirements Bachelor's degree in Purchasing, Operations, Supply Chain Management or related Business degree required Experience developing new suppliers and/or on-shoring products is beneficial Strong computer skills with emphasis on the Microsoft Office suite: Outlook, Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written. Negotiating skills. Organizational agility/getting things done through others. Ability to work in a fast paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
