Ground Support Equipment (GSE) Mechanic

Starting Pay: $27.00-$30.00 per hour

Job Summary:

Troubleshooting, disassembly, checking and cleaning, repairing, replacing, testing, adjusting, assembling, installing, servicing, fabricating, or towing any ground equipment while in service or while undergoing overhaul and/or modification.

Must be able to perform the following functions in variable weather and environmental conditions: Push, pull, lift, and parts and components weighing up to 60 pounds in the process of assembling, disassembling, repairing, or installation of these parts and components from a sitting, standing, bending, squatting, or overhead position.

Work with color-coded wiring and other components which requires the ability to differentiate colors to include but not limited to red, green, yellow, blue, black, brown, white, and orange.

Operate a variety of tools, including power tools, in the process of assembling, disassembling, repairing, and installing parts and components while reaching, twisting, turning, and gripping.

Certifies for quality of workmanship, including signing mechanical releases on field work. May be assigned to order, receive, inventory, secure or disburse parts and supplies on or off airport facilities.

Works according to Company regulations and procedures and instructions from lead, supervisor or general manager.

Minimum Requirements:

Must be at least 18 years of age

Must have a valid drivers license

High school diploma, GED or Equivalent

Must be able to pull, push, and lift up to 70 lbs.

Must be able to pass a 10-year Background check to obtain an Airport Badge.

Ability to read and work from diagrams as required. Diesel experience preferred

Ability to lift up to 60 lbs and work in a high noise-level environment

Ability to work rotating shifts including weekends (i.e., Friday, Saturday and Sunday), holidays, and days off
