Highway Sign Installer

The Highway Sign Installer is responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining roadway signs and delineation devices on state and county routes. Working under the direction of the crew lead, this position assists with sign installation, equipment maintenance, inventory management, and emergency response activities as needed.Duties and ResponsibilitiesInstall, repair, and replace roadway signs, posts, and delineators.Operate hand and power tools, including drills, saws, ratchets, and chainsaws.Safely operate assigned flatbed trucks and equipment to transport materials to job sites.Construct and repair barricades and traffic control devices.Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of tools, vehicles, and equipment.Maintain inventory of signs, posts, and related materials.Assist with emergency response efforts, including nights and weekends when required.Follow all safety procedures and perform other duties as assigned.
