Instructional Designer| $60-$70 PER HOUR (W2 or 1099) | 6+MONTHSOur large Public Accounting client is seeking an Instructional Designer to support their Learning & Design Team in developing an intern program design using skills framework, needs analysis, and skills mapping. In addition, they will end up designing the curriculum for the interns. This position is available as a 6+ month contract or contract-to-hire REMOTE position.Role Description:Intern Program design
  • Partner with the audit, tax, and advisory program leaders to design and curate a blended learning program for Grant Thornton interns that will build essential skills to support their ability to learn on-the-job and in-the-flow-of-work while contributing to client engagements, including:
  • Design highly interactive national webcast and virtual classroom sessions for xSL and SL-specific topics to build essential.
  • Curate on-demand and self-study resources specific for intern learners, including self-paced case studies and simulations to mimic real client scenarios.
  • Design and curate nationally developed, locally delivered (NDLD) ILT materials for intern-specific technical and professional skills topics, creating a library of content for local delivery on an as-needed basis.
  • Align all intern topics and content to the defined professional and service line technical skills for the intern level
Skills mapping
  • Partner with the technical skills mapping lead to accelerate the client shift to a skills-centered talent strategy.
  • Support the business learning team's efforts to launch a technical skills framework for all professionals by defining the core technical skills for each service line and level.
  • Tag all existing learning content in the LMS to the appropriate technical skill and learning level, including internally and externally developed self-study, ILT, webcast, NDLD, etc.
  • Collaborate with the business learning team and learning innovation manager to design a content architecture to house skill-mapped learning content that:
  • Ensures ease of access for learners by providing a transparent skills-based learning roadmap to drive learning and accountability and enable the self-paced pursuit of skills attainment and career progression
  • Provides a data input for a new LXP system to enable AI capability to push key content to learners based on their role and skill/expertise level
