MarketSource is currently seeking an Instructional Designer. This position works directly with our retail content development group to write, design, develop, and implement training to assist program teams with the execution of client deliverables. Core Responsibilities:

Work with program teams to perform front-end analysis and assessments in order to identify knowledge gaps, and define learning and development needs

Write training content, design graphics, and create storyboards

Collaborate with subject matter experts and clients to design and develop learning solutions

Design curriculum for web-delivered solutions, including e-learning courses and webinars

Design curriculum for instructor-led learning solutions, including course outlines, measurement tools, facilitator guides, participant guides, and PowerPoint decks

Design solutions for use with mobile technologies, such as smartphones and tablets

Develop training roadmaps for overall curriculum structure

Set up continual measurement tools to demonstrate effectiveness of training and identify needed improvements

Manage course development and implementation from start to finish

Utilize social networks, multimedia technology, and e-learning platforms to train remote employees and deliver train-the-trainer materials

Develop entry-level and advanced courses for both internal and external audiences

Expected to collaborate with all members of Learning and Development team, including trainers, video media specialists, technical writers, and other instructional designers

Core Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

Bachelor's degree is preferred

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including technical writing and documentation

Experience developing e-learning courses with Articulate Storyline

Experience working with the Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop and InDesign

Comfortable developing storyboards, designing graphics, and writing scripts

Development experience with mobile platforms a plus

Must have knowledge of instructional design principles/practices, including adult learning theories, interactive training and engaging learning design

Must be able to logically organize information and transform bodies of information into professionally designed, functional and effective learning programs

Must have proven skills in audience and content analysis, as well as presentation design experience

Ability to work on multiple, complex projects simultaneously

Ability to continually prioritize changing project tasks/deliverables in a fast-paced environment

May require occasional travel

Some understanding of home appliance products

Experience presenting with teleprompter

Experience presenting to groups of all sizes

Must have the ability to proof read and edit content

Ability to understand and effectively communicate key features and functions of mobile devices

Must be flexible and deadline driven

Team player able to work effectively at all levels of an organization with the ability to influence others to move toward consensus

Possess strong situational analysis and decision-making abilities

Must have good written, listening and verbal communication skills and be able to communicate with all levels of the organization

Ability to operate successfully in cross-functional team

Written/Verbal Communication to SMEs and Stakeholders

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

Additional Job Requirements:

Physical ability to perform tasks that may require prolonged bending, stooping, reaching, twisting, lifting, pushing, pulling, walking, standing and moving items

Overnight Travel up to 80% of time

Flexibility to work nights and weekends as needed

Requires the ability to move around the store, assist customers and maneuver merchandise when necessary

Performs additional job duties as assigned

Ability to lift up to 20 pounds independently
