iSeries/AS400 ProgrammerDirect Hire | Hybrid Synergis’ client, a privately held restaurant company, has engaged us in a search for an

iSeries/AS400 Programmer to join their growing team! This individual will be responsible for the design, development, testing, maintenance and documentation associated with supporting application software to operate on an IBM AS/400 / iSeries / POWERi system running i5/OS V5R4 or newer. This role will report to the Senior Software Team Lead.

iSeries / AS400 Programmer | Background and Scope:
  • Learns and applies knowledge of the iSeries (AS/400) and other platforms used in carrying out assigned Information Services application development projects
  • Maintains existing CL programs and writing new CL programs as needed
  • Monitor the health of the automated services and processes
  • Reviews statement of requirements and specifications to ensure understanding prior to any program development / enhancement efforts
  • Operate as a key team member to complete application design and construction
  • Participates in code reviews
  • Conducts unit-level and system-level testing of applications
  • Participates in integration, volume and user acceptance testing
  • Applies standards and processes to ensure that development complies with safe, secure and reliable operation / security standards

iSeries / AS400 Programmer | Background and Scope:
  • Degree in Computer Science or related field (required)
  • 5+ years IT experience developing applications on i5/OS
  • Strong knowledge and/or experience with some of the following areas:
    • COBOL
    • RPG
    • Embedded & Interactive SQL
    • IBM Query
    • DB2 SQL
    • AS400
    • CL

iSeries / AS400 Programmer | Preferred:
  • Experience working within an Agile development environment

iSeries / AS400 Programmer | Other:
  • Hybrid, once a week
  • Local Atlanta based candidates only
  • Must be authorized to work in the US for any employer, now or any time in the future

Disclosure: The salary range for this position is $95,000 to $115,000 (dependent on factors including but not limited to client requirements, experience, statutory considerations, and location).
