Job Description:

Job Summary:

The ISM Functional User Manager is responsible for driving the API Design and Runtime governance process across all engineering and business stakeholders. He/She partners with engineering teams across domains and product areas to improve adoption of API standards and best practices, facilitates API Design reviews across development teams, product owners, architects, security experts and engineering leadership. Guide development teams through the design and on-boarding process, track outcomes and action items to ensure that resulting APIs are built to the best industry standards.

Responsibilities:
  • Facilitate API Design and Runtime reviews with engineering and business stakeholders
  • Partner with engineering teams across domains and product areas to improve adoption of API standards and best practices
  • Manage governance team process using Agile methodologies (Scrum or Kanban)
  • Guide teams through design and on boarding of APIs
  • Coach teams on API policies, version management/lifecycle, documentation requirements, etc.
  • Work with developers and tools/platform teams to automate governance process as and when possible
  • Work with product managers to identify and prioritize technical debt in API products
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree or International equivalent
  • Bachelor's Degree or International equivalent in Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field - Preferred
