IT Business Analyst II in GAC Savannah

As a Business Analyst at Gulfstream, you'll be working with a variety of applications within an Agile environment. You will hold discussions with stakeholders and users to understand their requirements and their vision of the product. Then translate this into requirements and communicate to the team members to help them understand the expectations of the project. You will assist the team and Product Owner in establishing user stories from the requirements and maintain a full understanding the backlog. This role requires excellent communication and analytical skills, the ability to gain an in-depth understanding of business process, and the knowledge of a variety of tools and techniques used by business analyst to gather and communicate requirements.

Experience with group facilitation is a plus Experience developing acceptance criteria is preferred Knowledge of or experience with Agile is a plus Knowledge of or experience as a Certified Product Owner is a plus Knowledge of User experience practices is a plus Working with software (custom development and/or vendor) applications is a plus

Education and Experience Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in CS, IS, related field required or equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. 3 years experience in an IT/IS environment and/. 1 year specific SAP system configuration, development and deployment experience. Master's Degree may be used to offset one year of experience. Ph.D. may be used to offset two years of experience.

Position Purpose:

Under general supervision, elicits, analyzes, validates and documents the business needs of project stakeholders. This includes interviewing stakeholders and gathering and compiling user requirements to convey to development teams throughout the software lifecycle. This Business Analyst II will also assist with activities to help support the development process, and to ensure that project deliverables are met according to specifications.

Job Description

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:

Essential Functions:
  • Works with Business Analysts and Senior Business Analysts to understand business areas direction, structure and requirements.
  • Assists in implementing standards and processes for all IT projects, including process/documentation evaluation and improvement.
  • Updates process manuals and other documentation as required.
  • Under general supervision, prepares requirements, specifications and business process maps.
  • Collaborates with Business Analysts and Senior Business Analysts to ensure system design requirements adequately reflect the defined business processes and fully support all components of the functional business requirements.
  • Assists with defining test conditions and comprehensive test plans.
  • Under general supervision, conducts testing according to plan and ensures issues are identified, tracked, reported on and resolved in a timely manner.
  • Under general supervision, works with programming resources (in house and third party) to ensure development work is completed to specifications.
  • Additional Functions:
  • Assists with development of project documents through work with Project Managers, Business Analysts and technical and customer contacts. .
  • Maintains current knowledge of technical and process developments in the business analyst arena. .
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • General knowledge of accepted Project management / Business analysis principles.

  • Excellent presentation design and delivery skills.
