Enterprise Business Analyst (DCH IT)

Location: Atlanta, Georgia

Duration: 6-12+ months

The client is currently allowing telecommuting, however, the work conditions may change at any moment and require 100% on-site 10+ years of experience required

Job Responsibilities:

Review current DCH Enterprise Data Management Strategy (EDMS) and supporting supplements to update and/or improve as necessary

Establish a data governance implementation roadmap to support the DCH EDMS and established strategic priorities

Roll out an enterprise data governance framework with a focus on realizing business value within six months

Identify organizational behaviour modifications required to support the implementation of the data governance framework

Assist with the facilitation of organizational behaviour modifications required to support the implementation of the data governance framework

Ensure each data governance role is clear of its responsibilities and is held accountable for performing their data governance duties

Work with each data governance role to ensure functional and non-functional requirements are well understood, incorporated into planning activities, and operationalized across the enterprise

Identify gaps in resource needs and data governance activities and make recommendations to fill gaps

Establish and govern data governance activities to ensure they meet the desired outcome

Develop and maintain an inventory of Data Governance assets

Facilitate the development and implementation of standards and policies which support each data management knowledge area, per the Data Management Book of Knowledge (DMBOK)

Establish adoption strategies to ensure adoption standards and policies are being followed policies across the enterprise

Define and develop a mechanism for monitoring performance and quality metrics related to the compliance with established data governance standards and policies

Monitor data governance measures and outcomes and identify areas of improvement

Provide data governance updates to the DCH Division Director's team and other stakeholders, as needed

Plan and facilitate data governance meetings

Provide input to data governance workgroups activities to ensure alignment with data governance strategies and activities

Coordinate efforts of part-time data governance resources to ensure overall data governance goals are accomplished

Manage relationships at multiple organizational levels to support the overall data governance goals

Identify new business opportunities pertaining to the use of data assets to achieve efficiency and effectiveness

Serve as a champion for data governance efforts

Minimum Qualifications:

Ten years of data management experience in a major organization

Knowledge of the data management book of knowledge

Knowledge of industry-leading data quality and data security management practices

Knowledge of data governance practices and business and technology issues related to the management of enterprise-wide data assets

Knowledge of regulatory requirements and emerging trends and issues

Demonstrated consulting skills with experience in change management, including culture change

Demonstrated ability to communicate to senior leadership

Recognized subject matter expert with the demonstrated ability to affect change

Bachelor's degree in a related subject

Master's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or Information Management, or related subject
