LIMS DeveloperKey Role:Design, develop, and implement enhancements and workflows for laboratory information management systems (LIMS). Apply knowledge of clean code, APIs, analytics, laboratory informatics, and infrastructure to create efficiencies and develop user focused solutions. Work in a fast-paced environment with laboratory scientists, public health experts, and an Agile software delivery team to complete end-to-end solutions that overcome customers' most difficult challenges. Analyze needs and environment to ensure solutions consider current architecture and operating environment, as well as future functionality and enhancements. This position is open to remote delivery anywhere within the U.S., to include the District of Columbia.Basic Qualifications:- 1+ year of experience with developing and implementing programmatic customizations to a laboratory information management system (LIMS)
- 1+ year of experience with configuration of a LIMS
- Experience with professional software development using SQL and SQL Server
- Knowledge of laboratory work and operations in a professional environment
- Knowledge of how to apply best practices for software development, source control, and working in an Agile environment
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience developing software applications in a professional setting using an object-oriented programming language, including C# and JavaScript
- Experience with web services integration, including REST application programming interfaces
- Experience with laboratory instrument network integration
- Experience supporting users by training or troubleshooting issues
- Experience working on a mid to large sized software development team
- Experience with configuration management in LIMS systems, including deploying code packages between multiple environments, maintaining synchronization between environments, documenting and executing deployment instructions, using Visual Studio to track code packages, and completing complex multistep deployments and database updates to implement multi-package releases
- Ability to work in an Agile software delivery environment and use industry standard tools
- Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Bachelor's degree in a Science or Public Health field
