Will not work with 3rd party companies.We are seeking an experienced Linux engineer to focus specifically on the Linux server infrastructure which supports our low-latency trading business. The role requires deep Linux systems knowledge in architecting, certifying and deploying new solutions for the business, and the ability to troubleshoot down to the lowest technical levels in a high-pressure, revenue-generating context. Helping to develop the technical and non-technical skills of other engineers on the team is also a key part of the role.The existing environment consists of a mixture of open source and in-house written Perl and Python components which will be modernized and replaced to ensure the continued delivery of a stable and secure infrastructure with increased agility and flexibility. Low Latency Infrastructure support team is responsible for maintaining and improving Linux infrastructure for our client's distributed systems. The group is involved in evaluation, certification, integration, and maintenance of numerous products, including hardware, Red Hat Linux, configuration management, system services (DNS, DHCP, NTP, etc.), and a variety of in-house developed tools. Ideal Candidates would have the following experience:• 10+ years of IT experience working to support and enhance infrastructure (including DR) capabilities within an organization. • 5+ years of experience as a RedHat Linux in an enterprise environment.• Perform senior-level Linux/VMware System administration including troubleshooting, fault isolation, system tuning, software installation, and maintenance.• Must have experience working with Ansible.
