Job Description

Based on-site at the customer's location, you will work together with the customer as part of the global logistics team that makes sure physical deliveries & installations happen on schedule. As a member of the team, you design processes that enable scale and speed. From global deployments of servers to the delivery of networking gear, you need to make sure the right equipment arrives at the right location at the right time. You will join the team that is responsible for developing logistics infrastructure to enable the customers footprint to grow.

You will look at opportunities to improve the speed and accuracy of material movements from Hub to Spoke, analyze OTD (On Time Delivery) Hub to Spoke performance and provide a clear understanding of score deficits and ability to articulate and present same to customers.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Re-engineer & create forward logistics workflows to enable the increasing complexity and scale of customers data center network
  • Solve logistics challenges with speed and accuracy, defining new processes & improvements globally
  • Work with 3rd Party Logistics partners to establish processes, solve complex challenges, and establish corrective action plans.
  • Work with Software teams to define requirements for tooling that supports our customers policies & processes, building business cases to justify changes or improvements.
  • Manage and monitor metrics for Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and vendor performance scorecards.
  • Present project status reports to major stakeholders and internal teams
  • Manage day-to-day operational aspects of the project(s)
  • Be able to proactively escalate risks / delays associated to a project
  • Other ad hoc duties as required

Qualifications

  • BA/BS degree in Business, Logistics, Operations, Engineering or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience with Supply Chain or Process Engineering, Manufacturing
  • Excellent communication, program management, and presentation skills; Ability to prepare and present detailed documented business cases to stakeholders and management.
  • Experience with supply chain analytics
  • Ability to define, develop & document business processes and procedures
  • Previous experience in managing cross functional projects
  • Capable to work on own initiative with minimal guidance from the customer(s)
  • Excellent Time Management, Resource Management, and Persuasion
  • Strong knowledge of Google Slides (Powerpoint), Sheets (Excel), Drawing (Visio) and any project tracking tools or similar
  • Willingness to travel

Desired Requirements:

  • Six Sigma certification, PMI or PRINCE
  • Master's degree in an engineering field, supply chain, or business intelligence
  • 5+ years of relevant warehouse or transportation work experience
  • SQL, Tableau, BigQuery, or other advanced analytics experience is desirable
  • Experience with managing outsourced third party partner teams
