Description/Job Summary This position is responsible for repairing and maintaining all aspects of the hatchery facility. Scheduled to work nightshift Tuesday and Wednesday from 8pm-4am and then dayshift on Saturday and Sunday 8am-8pm. Responsible for on call duties as required and all found problems repaired before finishing shift. Will conduct rounds of the hatchers and setters to proactively search out problems and troubleshoot and repair any problems found. Will also assist scanning eggs for the set crew and monitor the transfer process to ensure all equipment is operating properly.Responsibilities/Duties Construct, maintain and test mechanical equipment, machinery and components
Identify parts or machines needing new or replacement parts
Utilize shop mathematics to complete assignments
Interpret drawings of equipment in order to properly adjust, maintain or repair machinery
Respond to requests by production area when mechanical issues with equipment have been identified
Communicate with production management and personnel to diagnose problems and to determine potential mechanical problems
Perform preventive maintenance
Complete assigned tasks with accuracy and efficiency, in regards to time as well as resources
Required Skills
Reading, General Math and Writing Skills.
Organized and able to multi-task.
Basic mechanical skills and knowledge of standard and metric measurements
Minimum 1-2 years industrial maintenance experience
Knowledge of industrial manufacturing equipment
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent (GED) preferred.
Technical school preferred.
Must be able to work assigned days/shifts (including weekends)
At least 18 years of age
Legally authorized to work in the United States
Willing and able to stand for several hours.
