In this role, you will provide manufacturing engineering support for a particular zone of the assembly line ensuring velocity and quality for the zone.What you can look forward to in this role:

Responsible for creation and communication for work instructions.

Create machine routings using SAP

Manage capital projects related to Safety, Quality, Velocity, and Cost

Design and implement lifting devices and any fixturing required for machine ease of assembly

Address internal and external quality issues in relation to zone of responsibility.

Manage capacity and model mix changes

Creating and modifying the build process for NPI or Continuous Improvement

A successful candidate in this role will showcase their skills in:

Lean Manufacturing: Knowledge of the philosophy, principles and implementation approaches of lean manufacturing; ability to integrate and implement lean manufacturing philosophy into existing production and management processes.

Manufacturing Standards, Procedures and Policies: Knowledge of organizational standards, procedures and policies in manufacturing activities; ability to plan, guide, and monitor manufacturing processes for compliance.

Manufacturing Processes: Knowledge of existing product manufacturing methods, technologies and processes; ability to execute, plan, manage and monitor the entire manufacturing process.

Decision Making and Critical Thinking : Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.

Top Candidates for this position may also have:

A bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in Engineering or Engineering Technology curricula.

Experience in manufacturing/operations as an intern or co-ops

Knowledge of engineering concepts

Manufacturing related skills such as:

Ability to read prints/specifications

Budget or project management

SAP
