Job Summary Oversees and manages the performance of solutions for threat and vulnerability remediation for Aflac's infrastructure systems. Serves as liaison between Security Threat and Vulnerability Management (TVM) team and other application and infrastructure teams in Digital Services.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities • Participates in weekly threat and vulnerability assessment meetings for Digital Services Infrastructure teams

• Reviews and assesses weekly findings with TVM team to determine which team is responsible for patching (Application, Infrastructure-O/S, Third party)

• Initiates and coordinates interaction with the appropriate teams to form change requests/execution plan for patching within TVM guidelines and SLA's

• Drives research for accuracy of threats identified to determine steps required to remediate (if any)

• Standardizes and coordinates implementation procedures and process enhancements for patching

• Coordinates patching activities with TVM, 3rd party contract support, application teams, negotiating patch windows and exclusions

• Conveys key technical information relevant to Aflac's business and infrastructure to the TVM and 3rd parties to set expectations and manage remediation while maintaining SLA's for remediation

• Manages exceptions through negotiation with the TVM team and writes and maintains official exceptions, representing them at the weekly Technical Risk Evaluation Governance (TREG) board.

• Leads and mentors a staff at the business function level, and educates the staff in development processes and procedures

• Manages services provided to internal and external customers and the alignment, development, and implementation of IT planning and initiatives to support business strategy, to include analyzing emerging technologies and translating implications of the new technologies into an effective IT strategy for the business unit

• Communicates project status and schedules to management within the division

• Contributes to and influences the development of standards and decisions regarding changes to systems and provides technical and business expertise

• Performs other related duties as required

Education & Experience Required
  • Five or more years of experience involving technology and practices for infrastructure operations
  • Experience negotiating and collaborating with multiple teams, while still driving the effort to an executable conclusion
  • Demonstrated ability to launch and deliver one or more IT projects on time and within budget
  • Experience leading technical delivery teams related to infrastructure operations and patching
  • Experience negotiating and collaborating with multiple teams, while still driving the effort to an executable conclusion.

Or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Job Knowledge & Skills • Broad knowledge of security remediation tools, techniques and best practices. • Strong knowledge of IT Infrastructure and the inter-dependencies of servers and applications • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Strong problem solving and negotiation skills • Ability to establish and develop effective relationships with internal and external partner
