Job Summary Oversees and manages the performance of microservices and integration layer platforms for Aflac. Serves as liaison for Global Security, application and infrastructure teams.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities • Builds and sustains a trustworthy relationship across the digital organization; Sets overall guidelines and performance measurements for service domain; Ensures leadership skills are at a level where they can drive the teams to meet expectations • Manages the team responsible for currency, support, engineering and monitoring of the integration platforms for api gateway, microservices and NoSQL databases necessary for business applications • Manages services provided to internal and external customers and the alignment, development, and implementation of IT planning and initiatives to support business strategy, to include analyzing emerging technologies and translating implications of the new technologies into an effective IT strategy for the business unit • Provides both business and technical leadership and vision, and leads the development of standards and decisions regarding changes to systems/applications • Leads and mentors staff at the business function level, and educates the staff in development processes and procedures • Champion of Agile based processes to drive speed to value • Is an advocate of change always looking to improve how we operate to better serve the company • Communicates project status and schedules to management within the division

Education & Experience Required
  • Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or other related field
  • Five or more years of experience involving technology and practices for infrastructure operations
  • Experience negotiating and collaborating with multiple teams, while still driving the effort to an executable conclusion
  • Demonstrated ability to launch and deliver one or more IT projects on time and within budget
  • Experience leading technical delivery teams related to infrastructure operations and patching
  • Experience negotiating and collaborating with multiple teams, while still driving the effort to an executable conclusion.

Or an equivalent combination of education and experience
