Developer II to help lead Vision 2025 for one of our family companies Futura Systems. In 2007, Futura joined with Meridian Co-op to offer utilities the very best mapping, staking, outage management, and work order management services available, through the company's utility POWERnet application and separately through integration with several other utility software applications. We were formed in 1976 by a group of Electric Membership Cooperatives with a vision for a single enterprise solution provider to serve data processing, IT, and operational needs to cooperatives, public utility districts, and municipal utilities. Through carefully curated acquisitions and partnerships, we have unified multiple leading-edge companies under its umbrella in order to truly execute that vision. Today, the Meridian Co-op Suite serves over 500 utilities across the country with industry leading enterprise software solutions.

The Individual will be self-motivated, demonstrate a constant commitment to excellence and have experience in the design, development, and unit testing of .NET applications and web services.

Job Description
  • Design, develop and maintain enterprise applications using C#, .NET Framework and web technologies
  • Database design and development (PostgreSQL/Microsoft SQL Server)
  • Support and maintenance of existing systems
  • Actively participate in requirements analysis review, estimations, problem analysis, resolution and design documentation
  • Interpret business requirements into technical specifications
  • Independently deliver all assigned tasks on time with high quality

Qualifications
  • Minimum 6 years of development experience with C# and Visual Studio
  • Strong understanding of object-oriented programming
  • Minimum 3 years of experience with PostgreSQL/SQL Server and relational database design, queries, stored procedures and triggers
  • Experience with XML, JSON, SOAP/REST web services
  • Experience in Agile software development
  • Proficient understanding of Git
  • Ability to independently manage tasks between multiple projects to meet deadlines
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Highly organized and independent, effective at multitasking, and able to interact with individuals from multiple disciplines.

Preferred:
  • Working experience in utility (electric, eater, and gas) industry
  • Development experience with AKKA.Net
  • Experience with message queuing systems like RabbitMQ and Kafka
  • Working experience with Atlassian products(JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket, Bamboo)
